Abstract
The repeated bending life of Cu-Mg alloy contact wires was investigated by the repeated bending tester, and the effect of the clamping force and fixture block type on the testing results of repeated bending life of contract wires was analyzed. The results show that: during repeated bending life tests, the clamping force had obvious influence on the repeated bending life of contact wires, and the bending life of contact wires increased and then inclined to stable value with the increase of clamping force; the type of fixture blocks had the inconspicuous influence on the repeated bending life; compared with smooth fixture blocks, experimental data detected by the bending tester were more stable and reliable when contact wires were clamped by groove fixture blocks.
