    Current Status of Research on Computer Simulation of Selective Laser Melting Additive Manufacturing Process

    • Two main methods, finite element method (FEM) and finite volume method (FVM), for modeling selective laser melting (SLM) additive manufacturing process were briefly introduced. Current status of the research on temperature field and stress field simulation of SLM additive manufacturing process at home and abroad was summarized. The development trend of computer simulation of SLM addtive manufacturing process was prospected as well.
