    Analysis on Compressive Setting Fracture of 60Si2CrVA Spring

    • By methods of macroscopic inspection,chemical composition analysis,metallographic examination,hardness testing,fracture and spectrum analysis and so on,the cause of spring fracture during compressive setting was analyzed.The results show that the main reason of spring fracture was the segregation band existing in the near-surface and plenty of non-metallic inclusion on the segregation band.Inner crack was induced during quenching,and finally the spring fractured during the compressive setting.
