    Comparison of Leeb Hardness and Brinell Hardness of P92 Steel under Different Heat Treatment Conditions

    • The samples cut from ID349 mm×94.5 mm P92 steel main steam pipe were quenched and tempered with different processes.Leeb hardness and Brinell hardness of the P92 samples were tested by portable Leeb hardness tester and desktop Brinell Rockwell & Vickers hardness tester.The relationship between the tested Leeb hardness and Brinell hardness were studied.Microstructure of the samples was also observed by metallographic microscope.The results show that the conversion values acquired from Leeb hardness(HBHLD) and GB/T 17394-1998 were both lower than the actual Brinell hardness,and the test values from different Leeb hardness tester had much deviation.The martensite morphology still maintained in P92 steel even tempered at 810 ℃.
