Testing Methods of Melting Temperature Range for Solders

Melting temperature range(including solidus and liquidus temperature) is one of the basic parameters of solder performance,however,there are many testing methods for determination of melting temperature,for example SJ/T 11390-2009,GB/T 1425-1996 and JIS Z 3198-1-2003.The differences among these methods were analyzed and discussed,the pure Sn solder was used for testing,and found that the testing relative error of liquidus temperature according to GB/T 1425-1996 was smaller;the method specified in GB/T 1425-1996 was more accurate.
