Several Test Methods of Fatigue Limits of Metalic Materials

  • Metal fatigue tests have been applied to measure the fatigue admissible stresses of metal materials and to draw the fatigue curves of materials,and then measure the fatigue limits under the condition of alternating stress.There are lots of testing methods about fatigue study.According to the national standards and some exiting literature,some general fatigue test methods were summarized in detail,including the single point fatigue test method,the up-and-down fatigue test method,the high frequency vibration fatigue test method,the ultrasonic fatigue test method and the fatigue test method with infrared thermal imaging technology.For each method,the test purpose,suitable conditions,test samples,instruments,test steps and data processing were introduced.
