Abstract: The coarse grain and low hardenability in heat treatment of 45steel have appeared in use.Inspections showed that such problems were found in several furnace products, so it was a systemic quality defect.The main reasons were more impurities and non-distributions, high rolling temperature, then effective solutions andmethods were presented.
