Abstract: In this paper, the single shear substance testing device and relative testing method for large dimension shear pin were introduced. The comparison of results derived from the single shear testing corresponding to the large dimension with those obtained from the mechanical properties testing relative to the specimen apparently implicates that the single shear testing designed for the substance with full sizes is of valuable practice, which seems rarely replaced by only standard mechanical property testing by using sampled small specimen.
