Abstract: Development trends and characteristics of the mechanical properties testing technology and methods, as well as important test conditions and parameters that should be worth noticing during mechanical properties testing process, were mainly introduced. Taking the development and application of testing technology of micro-nano materials and thin film materials as an example, new mechanical properties testing technologies in recent years were reviewed. New mechanical properties test technologies that should be paid attention to and worthy of research directions in the future were pointed out.
