Abstract: By means of chemical analysis,mechanical properties testing,scanning electron microscopy,hardness test and metallography,the microstructure of abnormal normalizing of St52-3 cast steel were analysised. The results showed that there were black pearlite nets and needle ferrite in the coarse grains of the St52-3 cast steel after low temperature normalizing,which had much low impact and high brittleness.
