Abstract: A method of metallograhic pictures processing is discussed in the paper. By using the software-Photoshop,a series of single pictures can be incorporated to new larger-wide one, objects in different focal length can be displayed in the picture at same time and artificial defects caused by the sample preparation can be removed. The processed pictures meet the requirement of metallograhic examination, evaluation of microstructure and failure analysis.
