Abstract: By means of fracture analysis, chemical composition analysis and metallographic examination, the reason of cracks in casts was analyzed. On the basis of the simulation experiment, the effect of crack on security was analyzed. The results showed that the reasons were casting defects in casts and design problems at die corner. At last the improving measures were proposed.
