Abstract: Aiming at the problems in using HXD-1000 digital microhardness tester,several factors for using it correctly were given. Including preparation of the sample,selection of the penetrator and some parameters,sign of the boundaries of the workbench’s movement,sketch map of microhardness reading,notation of the microhardness,et al. Accordingly,the microhardness testing can be finished independently,correctly and efficiently.
