Abstract: Digital process of various graphitic particle images in GB/T 9441-1988 was carried out and its test result was sorted for comparation. The data analysed indicated that the area ratio was difficult to be used to describe completely the object shape,and that roundness introduced in token of graphite glomeration ratio was more scientific and rational,and also accorded with development of datamation for nowadays metallography analysis technics.
