Abstract: A front wheel bolt of automobile fractured at assembly in a factory. By means of chemical composition analysis,hardness testing,the microstructure and macrostructure examination,the fracture analysis of the bolt was conducted. The result showed that the reason of fracture was the temper brittleness of material. In order to avoiding the fracture,the improving method was proposed.
