Abstract: The early and continuous fatigue failure is a main problem in normal producing of heavy-duty die forging hammers. It has been comprehensively discussed about the hammer construction,working principle,forging technique and materials selection and etc. Also the common fatigue fracture appearance,fracture reasons is discussed. Finally,the methods for solving the problems are proposed.
