Abstract: The GOST 9454-1978“Metals Test Method for Impact Bend at Lower,Ambient and HigherTemperatures”was introduced and compared with China national standard GB/T 229-2007.The technical keyrequirements of application scope,test specimen requirement,equipment requirement,test process and test resultsassessing for these two standards were analyzed.It was found that there are significant differences between them inspecimen size,test procedure and test results expression,etc,which should be taken care in practical application.
