Abstract: The surface longitudinal crack of hot-roll Q345B medium plate was studied by means of metallographic microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that the surface longitudinal crack of hot-roll Q345B medium plate is caused by inclusion and surface longitudinal crack of slab. The relative precautions improving continuous casting parameters were offered and good effect was obtained.
