Abstract: The reason of blackspots on the surface of hot rolling and cold rolling strip steel was analyzed bymeans of scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum.The results showed that the blackspots on pickling hotrolling strip steel surface were mainly iron oxide,the blackspots on cold rolling strip steel surface were irondeoxidized from iron oxide on hot rolling strip steel surface.
