Abstract: The stress ring specimens were intercepted from roll body of three kind of materials, including ductile cast iron, chilled cast iron and bainitic cast iron, respectively, after different heat treatment process. The internal residual stress of roll was determined. The stress calculation formula of stress ring specimen was proved theoretically. The stress components existed in roll were determined. The test results showed the effect of processing condition to eliminate stress. The difference of residual stress was large in roll of different material and different heat treatment.
