Abstract: The unqualified reason of Q345E hot rolling medium plate by ultrasonic inspection had beenanalyzed by means of macroscopic examination,metallographic examination,fracture analysis and so on.The resultsshowed that the reason was the segregation zone and the inclusions including manganese sulfide and niobiumcarbonitride which congregated in the central part of the medium plate.And the problem was solved by adjusting theprocess.
