Abstract: The axial stress and shear strain amplitude affect the ratchetting strain and the fatigue life of solder in multiaxial ratchetting test greatly. With the consideration of the ratchetting effect,the Coffin model is effective to provide a good prediction on fatigue life,and most of the predicted values fall within a scatter band of 2.
