Abstract: The method of determining location of leakage of buried pipeline using SF6 tracing had been founded,and the engineering test for validation had been implemented. The research results showed that the majority of tracing gas had been released above the leakage point because of a little diffusing horizontally,which showed that locating the position of leakage point with SF6 tracing gas was feasible for the buried pipeline.
