Abstract: Rupture reason of boiler water-wall tube was analyzed by means of chemical composition analysis, mechanical properties testing, macroscopic and microscopic examination. The results showed that the rupture of the water-wall tube was as a result of material performance degradation caused by pearlite spheroidization under overheating condition.
