水泵用密封件的失效分析
Failure Analysis of Seal Element for Water Pump

摘要: 离子渗氮后的40Cr钢水泵用动态密封件在使用过程中因变形而破裂。采用金相检验与显微硬度测定的方法对该零件进行了分析。结果表明: 导致零件失效的主要原因是渗氮后零件的硬度太低,渗氮层深度较浅所致。并提出了相应的建议。Abstract: Dynamic seal element used for water pump made by 40Cr steel treated through ion nitriding process distorted and broke in use. The element was analyzed by means of metallographic examination and microhardness measurement. The result showed that the microhardness was too low and the nitrided layer was too shallow after nitriding process. Some suggestion was presented to increase the life of the element.
