Abstract: A new method for residual stress measurement was introduced,by exerting a impact load on part surface to produce a indentation with a extra stress field,and the residual stress can be calculated by the composite stress field. It is a new method to be suitable for practical engineering application for welding line with a hardness less than 50 HRC and non-destructive test.
