Abstract: The morphology characteristics and forming causes of normal inclusions defect of cold rolled automobile outer surface plate were summarized. According to the analysis results, the normal inclusions defect of cold rolled automobile outer surface plate mainly appeared in globular, edge surface upwarping, linear and strip with peeling morphology, and the latter two kinds of inclusions defect were the main factors that affected the qualified rate of cold rolled automobile outer surface plate. Currently the inclusions defect of cold rolled automobile outer surface plate were mainly composed of Al2O3, and serious defects also existed mould powders compositions. The inclusions defect mainly produced in the continuous casting process.
