Abstract: The roller neck fractured during the process of aligning after tempering and heat treatment ofroller.The fracture reason of roller was analyzed by means of macro examination, metallographic examination andchemical composition analysis.The results showed that there were serious eutectic carbide and large size aluminainclusion formed stress concentration point which made the roller neck fractured.
