Abstract: By means of macroscopic examination, mechanical property testing, chemical composition analysis and metallographic examination, the reason causing unqualified cold bending property of SS400 steel coil was analyzed. The results showed that the main reason was higher content of alumina inclusion in the cold bending sample. And the measures to reduce the cracks of cold bending were given out.
