Abstract: Revision situations of GB/T 15749-2008 “Measuring method in quantitative metallography” were introduced from aspects of quantitative metallography theory, quantitative metallography measuring method and measuring technique requirements (including the applicable range for each measuring method, and the choice of magnification, measuring angle and measuring field numbers). Furthermore, the new image analysis measuring method was emphasized in order to make GB/T 15749-2008 be well used in the metallographic test.
