Abstract: Many tests of the welding rods of ER70S-6 were conducted as follows: low magnification metallogrophic microstructure examnation, energy spectrum analysis, chemical composition analysis and inclusion examination. The result shows, that the surface fissures of wire rods and mixed grains are the main reasons causeing draw fracture .Some improvments methods are proposed.
