    S45C钢汽车减震器活塞杆断裂原因

    Fracture reason of piston rod of S45C steel automobile shock absorber

    • 摘要: 某S45C钢汽车减震器活塞杆在装配过程中发生异常断裂现象,采用断口分析、金相检验、硬度测试、化学成分分析等方法对活塞杆断裂原因进行分析。结果表明:该活塞杆的基体及淬硬层组织状态正常,镀铬层与淬硬层厚度均处于允许范围,化学成分符合相关标准要求,材料性能满足图纸设计规范,但活塞杆表面镀铬层存在粗大裂纹等缺陷。活塞杆断裂的主要原因是装配操作不当,导致活塞杆产生弯曲变形,弯曲部位承受较大拉力作用;同时,活塞杆表面镀层存在孔隙、剥落、粗大裂纹等缺陷,且伴随氢脆裂纹产生,在外加拉力的作用下,这些缺陷部位成为应力集中点,最终导致活塞杆快速失稳断裂。

       

      Abstract: Abnormal fracture occurred in the assembly process of an S45C steel automobile shock absorber piston rod. The fracture causes of the piston rod were analyzed by means of fracture analysis, metallographic examination, hardness test and chemical composition analysis. The results show that the microstructure of the matrix and hardened layer of the piston rod was normal, the thickness of the chromium plating layer and the hardened layer was within the allowable range, the chemical composition met the requirements of the relevant standards, and the material properties met the design specifications of the drawings. However, there were defects such as coarse cracks in the chromium plating layer on the surface of the piston rod. The main reason for the fracture of the piston rod was that the improper assembly operation led to the bending deformation of the piston rod, and the bending part bore a large tensile force. At the same time, the coating on the surface of the piston rod had defects such as pores, spalling, and coarse cracks, and was accompanied by hydrogen embrittlement cracks. Under the action of external tension, these defect sites became stress concentration points, which eventually led to sudden instability and fracture of the piston rod.
