      Abstract: A systematic and in-depth analysis is conducted on the mechanisms, evaluation methods, and protective measures of coating failure in marine engineering equipment. The research results of coating failure analysis are summarized, and that the main causes of coating failure are analyzed. Failure assessment criteria and aging evaluation methods are researched, and coating protection methods and measures are discussed in depth. The micro mechanisms and action mechanisms of coating failure are discussed in depth, providing scientific basis and technical support for the development of high-performance coating materials. The use of intelligent monitoring technology for real-time monitoring can improve the performance of coatings and extend their service life.
