    Reason for fracture of Johnson mesh strand in ammonia synthesis tower

    • 摘要: 氨合成塔内约翰逊网丝条在运行过程中发生断裂现象,采用宏观观察、微观分析、力学性能测试、断口分析等方法分析其断裂原因。结果表明:该约翰逊网丝条表面形成渗氮层,导致其脆性大幅提升,表面渗氮层形成过程中,丝条内部出现内源性微裂纹,裂纹进一步扩展,导致约翰逊网发生断裂现象。

       

      Abstract: The fracture phenomenon of Johnson mesh strand in ammonia synthesis tower occurred during operation. The fracture reason was analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, microscopic analysis, mechanical property test and fracture analysis. The results show that the nitriding layer was formed on the surface of the Johnson mesh strand, which led to a significant increase in brittleness. During the formation of the surface nitriding layer, endogenous microcracks appeared inside the strand, and the cracks further expanded, resulting in the fracture of the Johnson mesh.
