Abstract:
When the high and low temperature tests were carried out on the thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) connecting rope preserved for 1 a, it was found that some connecting ropes cracked. The cracking reasons of the connecting rope were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, scanning electron microscope analysis, infrared spectrum analysis, mechanical property test. The results showed that the oxidation reaction occurred during the storage of TPU connecting rope material, and the carbonyl (C=O) functional group was formed. The high and low temperature test further accelerated the aging process of the material, which eventually led to the cracking of the material under the test stress.
