    Reasons for the fracture of 30CrMo steel motor shaft

    • 摘要: 某30CrMo钢电机轴在运行过程中发生断裂。采用宏观观察、化学成分分析、力学性能测试、低倍检验、金相检验等方法对电机轴断裂的原因进行分析。结果表明:电机轴表层存在孔洞及裂纹缺陷,显微组织不均匀,导致材料的力学性能较差,在持续应力作用下,缺陷处萌生微裂纹,裂纹不断扩展,最终导致电机轴发生低应力高周疲劳断裂。

       

      Abstract: The shaft of a 30CrMo steel motor broke during operation. The causes of motor shaft fracture were analyzed using macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, low magnification inspection, metallographic examination. The results show that there were holes and crack defects on the surface of the motor shaft, uneven microstructure, caused poor mechanical properties of the material. Under continuous stress, microcracks were initiated at the defect site, and the cracks continued to propagate, ultimately leading to low stress high cycle fatigue fracture of the motor shaft.
