Abstract:
After using for a period of time, the bending terminals of the crimping fixed terminals at both ends of a soft connection line appeared abnormal wear phenomenon. The causes of abnormal wear were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum analysis, mechanical property test, finite-element analysis and so on. The method of prolonging the service life of the soft connection terminal was put forward. The results show that during the working process of the equipment, the regular movement of the soft connection line caused stress concentration at the bending fillet of the terminal, resulting in the initiation of micro cracks on the surface of the terminal. With the long-term high-intensity operation of the equipment, mechanical scratches appeared on the surface of the terminal, and fatigue sources were generated at the scratches. Finally, linear traces were formed on the surface of the terminal. Under the action of the soft connection vibration load, the linear traces were aggravated to form fatigue wear. Finally, the improvement measures were put forward to improve the fatigue strength of the terminal and prolong the service life of the terminal.
