    沉淀硬化不锈钢弹簧脆性断裂原因

    Cause of brittle fracture in precipitation hardened stainless steel springs

    • 摘要: 某沉淀硬化不锈钢弹簧发生脆性断裂。采用宏观观察、氢元素含量测试、金相检验、硬度测试、扫描电镜及能谱分析等方法分析了该弹簧断裂的原因。结果表明:在进行表面钝化处理过程中,弹簧发生了渗氢现象,经除氢处理后弹簧仍含有少量的氢元素,在应力作用下,弹簧萌生了氢致脆性微裂纹,裂纹不断扩展,最终导致弹簧发生过载断裂。

       

      Abstract: A precipitation hardened stainless steel spring experienced brittle fracture. The cause of the spring fracture was analyzed using macroscopic observation, hydrogen content testing, metallographic examination, hardness testing, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that during the surface passivation treatment, hydrogen permeation occurred in the spring. After dehydrogenation treatment, the spring still contained a small amount of hydrogen element. Under stress, hydrogen induced brittle microcracks began to appear in the spring, and the cracks continued to expand, ultimately led to overload fracture of the spring.
