Abstract: The fracture of an aluminum alloy foil occurred during the production process. The fracture reasons were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis. The results show that when the thickness of the aluminum alloy foil was small, the inclusions affected the metal flow during the rolling process, forming holes and cracks. The crack propagation caused the aluminum alloy foil to break.
