Abstract: The yield strength of ribbed steel coil was tested by force-displacement tensile test and tensile test with extensometer. The influence of sampling method, test method and the contact position of extensometer on the test results was analyzed. The results show that the test results of the force-displacement tensile test and the tensile test with extensometer would be different due to different samples and test methods.
