Abstract: Firstly, each step of metallographic sample preparation was introduced, and the operation key points that should be paid attention to in each step were explained. Then, the grinding and polishing parameters and actual effects of metallographic samples prepared by automatic sample preparation equipment for different steel grades were exemplified, so as to provide reference for metallographic inspection technicians.
