Abstract: After the tensile test, the strength of the tensile samples prepared by wire cutting was lower than that of the tensile samples prepared by milling. The influence of wire cutting processing method on the strength test results was explained through the comparative test. There is no clear machining allowance in GB/T 228. 1-2010 for the preparation of tensile samples by wire cutting. It is suggested that the machining allowance for the preparation of tensile samples by wire cutting should be given in GB/T 228. 1-2010.
