Abstract: The main transmission routes of COVID-19 are droplet transmission and close contact transmission,and masks can effectively reduce the risk of infection and transmission probability. The main points of GB/T 38880:2020 Technical Specification of Children Mask issued recently in domestic were introduced. And comparing the differences with GB/T 32610:2016 Technical Specification of Daily Protective Mask and YY 0469:2011 Surgical Mask in nine aspects including structure and appearance, basic requirements of textiles, durability, comfort, protective performance, sanitary requirements, safety requirements, special indicators, packaging,storage and transportation. At the same time, the differences in particulate matter filtration efficiency with foreign standards were also compared. The results show that GB/T 38880:2020 is advanced and forward-looking, and it can play a positive role in preventing the spread and infection of COVID-19 and other respiratory infectious diseases in children.
