    某截止阀开裂原因分析

    Cause Analysis on Cracking of a Cut Off Valve

    • 摘要: 某截止阀在进行水压试验时发生开裂导致泄漏。通过宏观观查、金相检验、硬度测试、断口分析等方法对截止阀开裂的原因进行了分析。结果表明: 截止阀的法兰和阀体材料为灰铸铁,与阀门表面标识不符,灰铸铁中石墨呈C型分布,且石墨长度较长,造成材料的力学性能较差;同时截止阀基体组织为铁素体,只有少量的珠光体沿着条状石墨边沿分布,造成材料的韧性下降。裂纹在阀体与法兰连接部位的应力集中处萌生并扩展,最终在较大应力的作用下形成穿透性开裂,造成阀门泄漏。

       

      Abstract: A cut off valve cracked during the hydraulic test, resulting in leakage. The causes of the valve cracking were analyzed by means of macroscopic observation, metallographic examination, hardness test and fracture analysis. The results show that the material of the flange and valve body of the cut off valve were gray cast iron, which was not consistent with the surface identification of the valve. The graphite in the gray cast iron was C-shaped, and the graphite length was long, which resulted in the poor mechanical properties of the material. At the same time, the matrix structure of the cut off valve was ferrite, and only a small amount of pearlite was distributed along the edge of the strip graphite, which resulted in the toughness degradation of the material. The crack initiated and expanded at the stress concentration of the valve body and flange connection, and finally formed penetrating crack under the action of large stress, resulting in leakage.
