Abstract: The web and flange of different H steel sections were sampled separately, 1A and 1B samples were made for tensile test according to the standards. The effects of different sizes samples of different parts of H steel section on the tensile test results were studied. The results show that the strength of H steel section web sample was higher than that of flange sample. The tensile sample should be taken at flange as much as possible.
