Abstract: According to the regulations and descriptions of homogeneity check for proficiency test items in different versions of relevant standards and guidelines, the basic concepts of relevant statistical methods were discriminated, and some questions related to homogeneity check for proficiency test items were discussed. The problems in standards or guidelines were analysed and explained.
