Abstract: The evaluation and inspection of special textiles used in space were key links to guaranteed the qualities of spacecraft products. As for the special textiles used in space, the functional requirements, application characteristics and space environmental factors should be considered. The evaluation system for special textiles used in space was built, and the definition of the evaluation and inspection of special textiles used in space was summarized. The contents, recommendatory test standards and methods for evaluation and inspection of special textiles used in space were introduced in detail. The matters needing attention were emphasized, and the differences between national and international textile test standards were analyzed.
