Abstract: The causes of bending fracture of HRB400 steel bar were analyzed through macro-fracture analysis, chemical compositions analysis, metallographic analysis, bending and rebending test, and etc., The results show that the bending fracture of HRB400 steel bars is the reverse bending fracture. The reason for the fracture is the improper operation of the construction site and the too small bending diameter.
